ARTIST'S STATEMENT

What do I see in those Boxes and trays and folders of pieces of paper and bits of fabric?

What image lies unrevealed in a piece of paper thrown into a pile of others?

What does it become as I the interpreter, move it from the stash and fit it into the image, slowly rising from the gathering of all?

What do I see through this window as the pieces are fit together?

What indeed, were scattered thoughts and curious notions have penetrated the thoughtful soul and become images made by God through the watchful Window of my soul.

The shapes, designs, and colors in our environment intrigue me, whether it is the relationship of the environment to its own surroundings, or the relationship of the surroundings to the environment.

God has given us the gift of all that surrounds us and He has given to me the gift of seeing ordinary everyday things in a different light and the ability to translate these perceptions into tapestries of color and design onto paper. I celebrate God's gift of Life through my art.
